Another splendid day has passed,
grateful I thanks to whom it may concern
that nor today my luck or my happiness
was to be suppressed
slowly I turn off bodyparts
prepare my worn out muscles for the night
a little bit wiser twice as ignorant I can’t prevent
I’m lying on my back with eyelids closed
trying impatiently, to turn off my mind
thoughts racing swiftly back and forth
attempting to catch the invisible
glimpse and insight in what future has in store
my mind longs for more
kept awake by presentiments
the morning hours closing in
yearning for sleep, but effort in getting there
can as well be spared
I’m lying on my back with eyelids closed
trying impatiently, to turn off my mind
